About Crypto Card Compare
Independent editorial site reviewing 23 crypto debit and credit cards. Founded by Cam Stubbs in 2026, written for crypto users who want signal not hype.
Why this site exists
Most crypto card comparison sites are affiliate farms. They rank whichever card pays them best, hide the fees, and oversell the cashback. The result: confused users, bad sign-ups, and headline rates that nobody actually earns.
Crypto Card Compare started because that approach has gone on long enough. Every card on this site is reviewed against the same criteria, ranked by a transparent methodology, and listed whether or not we earn from it. Cards we have no affiliate relationship with (Coinbase, Binance, Gemini, MetaMask, EtherFi, and several others) are listed alongside cards we do earn from, with no visual or ranking distinction.
Who runs it
Built and maintained by Cam Stubbs, a UK-based crypto professional and active user since 2020.

Editorial principles
- Verified data over marketing claims. We check every fee, region restriction, and tier requirement against the issuer's official documentation, and timestamp when we last verified it.
- Realistic over headline. Where headline cashback rates are misleading (because of token volatility, tier requirements, or spend caps), we publish a realistic figure alongside.
- Affiliate independence. Affiliate links and direct (non-affiliate) signup links are treated identically. No card is ranked higher because we earn from it.
- Geographic honesty. Many cards are restricted by region. Where a card isn't available in a major market (UK, US, EEA), we say so prominently.
- Regulatory awareness. Crypto cards sit in a complex regulatory space (FCA in the UK, MiCA in the EU, state-by-state in the US). We surface the relevant regulatory framing rather than ignore it.
How we make money
The site earns affiliate commission from some (not all) of the cards listed. Where an affiliate relationship exists, the outbound link uses rel="sponsored" in the HTML and routes through /go/<card-slug> for tracking purposes. UK visitors are routed to canonical issuer URLs without affiliate tracking, in line with FCA financial promotion rules.
Commission is paid by the card issuer, not by you. The price you pay for a card never changes based on whether you reach it through our site or directly. We do not run display ads or accept paid placement.
What we do not do
- We do not provide personal financial advice.
- We do not have affiliate relationships with every card listed (intentionally), to maintain editorial integrity.
